It’s always a bonus when the reception just happens to be at your favourite restaurant. Dawn and Phil held their reception at Beatson House in the picturesque village of Cawthorne.
The evening reception was held at Blah, where the dance floor was rammed! A brilliant day, where again I was incredibly well looked after by Dawn, Phil and all their family.

January 18th, 2011 Grazina and Paul have a common love for graffiti, with this in mind we planned tour of some of the amazing photography around Sheffield. We are incredibly happy with the results.
The snow had swept in and we were all worried that it may well affect the day. Luckily (minus a few issues with my wife’s rear wheel drive) the snow did not cause us any issues.
Grazina and Paul treated their guests to an amazing day that included a string quartet, magicians a folk band and most importantly an open bar (and I was driving!).

I did say Trudi would make a very pretty bride and I wasn’t wrong. Trudi looked amazing in a very 60′s style dress.
It has to be said that Keith’s brothers are very colourful guys to say the least. They really did make for a very entertaining day. In fact they all formed a band during the latter part of the day to make for a very emotional afternoon (especially for Keith’s mum).
A brilliant day for which myself and Natalie really enjoyed.

January 18th, 2011 Dawn and Phil get married in February 2011. Dawn and Phil certainly are the outdoors type and wanted to haul me up a mountain to do this shoot. Fortunately for me the snow swept and we had to do this shoot closer to home.
I always ask engaged couples if there is somewhere that is special to them both. In this case we went to Wentworth Castle in Stainbrough where they have enjoyed some great days with Phil’s daughter. We also decided it would be a great opportunity to take some images of them as a new family.
Phil enjoys photography himself and enjoys a good evening winters sky. I was only happy to oblige with the stunning sunset we were presented with.

A lovely couple and family who I’m looking forward to shoot in February.

Trudi and Keith took us out to Fox House where Keith proposed. If possible I like to take couples to places that are really special to them in one way or another. This spot was amazing (if not a bit windy!).
I met Keith originally through the band which he play In Cats:For:Peru, we did some features in Sandman and Counterfeit. I also did some images for their debut album. I always joked that if any of them were to marry they really should choose me as a photographer, it seems to have paid off
We’re really looking forward to this wedding, even though she will not admit it, Trudi is going to make an amazingly pretty bride.

The journey to foxhome milnes is simply breathtaking, it was hard not to jump out of the car and start taking photos.
The Mcfarlannes/Fantoms made me incredibly welcome. I know its a cliche but I really was treated like one of the family, I was fed and watered (I couldnt move) and I really wished I could have stayed to enjoy the rest of the evening with them.
A marque had been erected which let in some really nice natural light which really makes creating these images much easier. I left late evening feeling like I had made some great friends.

I contribute to a magazine called www.counterfeitmag.co.uk . We work almost as a collective, we share ideas , we promote local artists in the North, most of all we really love the local music scene.
Jon Windle was front man of the band “Little Man Tate”. I met up with one of our writers Sean Bruce as he spoke to Jon. It was a great 30 minutes or so listening to speak about his future plans and annecdotes from his days with Little Man Tate. Jon has one of those infectious personalities and puts you at ease immediatley. He also has a bit of mischeif about him, he’s always laughing. He told us about a Little Man Tate video that he had just discovered on YouTube that he had forgot about, ”This band would have been massive, had the front man not had such a bad speach impediment” was one of the comments on the post.
Just as we are wrapping up, we watch a jogger get closer, he’s in out shot so we wait for him to pass. “I know you, weren’t you in Little Man Tate” comments the jogger. Jon stands and speaks to him for ten minutes and invites him to the Plug gig and for a beer after.
Jons album is out soon, check out his site at www.jonwindle.co.uk

Nikki wanted to have some alternative images for her wedding. Nikki really likes my 10.5 mm fisheye lens and asked for several images to be used through the day.
We had a great time at the wedding, it’s always great when you are treated as a guest at a wedding that you have been booked to photograph.
Sometimes it doesn’t feel like work at all!

Had a great afternoon with Andrea and Darren. Darren’s a real character and didnt mind too much when I called him Dave (everyone knows a Dave).
There’s a massive amount of warmth between Andrea and Darren, they really bounce of each other well. Darren calls Andrea “mini milk”, he says she is small and pale, I think this is slightly harsh but they both find it amusing! I’m looking forward to the wedding, we already get on really well.
